Chantal Enamel-on-Steel Cookware performs beautifully, the perfectThis seven-piece set fills many kitchen needs in one package. The set comprises a 6-quart soup pot with lid, 1- and 2-quart saucepans with lids, and a 10-inch omelet/sauté pan. The sauté pan offers the additional advantage of a patented Excalibur nonstick coating, reinforced with stainless steel for durability, as well as concentric ribs on the bottom of the cooking surface to prolong the life of the coating. (The soup pot's lid also fits this pan.) The entire set is dishwasher-safe, though it's best to hand wash the nonstick pan.
Chantal's German-manufactured enamel cookware combines utility and beauty in a moderately priced package. Sandwiching a steel core that heats quickly and evenly, the enameled exteriors and interiors are chip- and stick-resistant, nonporous, and won't react with acidic foods. Stainless-steel rims guard against chipping where utensils strike. Colors don't fade but remain beautifully bright. Pots and pans can be used safely on any type of stovetop and in the oven. The tempered-glass lids are safe to 375 degrees F and domed to return condensed moisture to foods.
