Because the surface is nonporous, it is naturally stick-resistant, non-reactive to acidic foods and nonabsorbent to oils. In addition, the nonporous enamel won?t absorb food odors or flavors. A heavy-gauge carbon steel core gives the pan substantial heft and heats up faster than ordinary cookware. This dinner-is-served oval roasting pan is large enough to accommodate roasts or bigger quantities of braised meat, chicken, or fish to entertain or serve a large family. The steel-rimmed, tempered glass lid has a high, domed shape to completely cover larger meats, and its transparency allows you to roast without removing the lid and letting steam escape. The lid is oven-safe to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and, without the lid, this pan is oven- and broiler-safe up to the highest temperatures. The dinner-is-served has sturdy stainless-steel loop handles on either end of the roaster and on the lid for carrying this attractive pan from oven to tabletop for serving. In the event that there are leftovers, this cookware is safe for the freezer, plus it is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.
